MERKEL Insurance Companies in the United States are regulated by the state and federal governments and are subject to many laws and regulations. Among these laws are several rules related to global investments in which US insurance companies can participate. this is the Foreign Investment in the United States Act (FINSA), which was enacted in 2007 and regulates foreign investment in the United States. This law mandates that US insurance companies must obtain approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) before investing.
